The National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR) – State of Michigan Chapter, and The Erika Monaé Group (EMG) proudly presents “When Women Lead,” a pivotal conference dedicated to the empowerment and advancement of Black Women in the professional and entrepreneurial spheres. This event is a cornerstone for those looking to enhance their careers and businesses, forge meaningful connections, and champion the cause of diversity and leadership in both professional and entrepreneurial landscapes. While the intended audience for this conference are Black Women, ALL ARE WELCOME!


Since 2018, NAAAHR – State of Michigan Chapter has hosted the When Women Lead Conference for Black Women in and aspiring to Leadership in Human Resources. In 2024, they have partnered with The Erika Monaé Group to co-host the conference. This collaboration has expanded the target audience to include all professional and entrepreneurial Black Women and elevated the conference experience by fostering robust networks with collaborative partnerships and meaningful relationships to empower women to thrive authentically, with humility and a commitment to action. Participants can expect:

  1. Learning Opportunities: Access to sessions led by industry experts and thought leaders covering a wide range of topics relevant to professional development, entrepreneurship, leadership, and more
